Who’s ready for another Art Attack!? Everyone! Noice! 😀

We sketched a lot of animals in January 2025 – which was your favourite? Join us over on Substack to chat about what story arc you’d most like to see expanded on.

Want to get on the sketchy band wagon? Just choose an animal from Pinterest that speaks to you (extra points if it’s literally speaking to you) and then sketch away!

Don’t let anyone tell you you’re not an artist. Pick up a brush, pen or crayon and let your creative spark loose!

What fun creations will we sketch in February 2025?!

IN THIS POST
Who did we sketch?:

Meet Terry Dactyl!

Character Bio:

Terry Dactyl isn’t your average cat – she’s a creature of the night, a silent guardian perched high on church windowsills, watching the world below with an air of mystery.

Drawn to the glow of stained glass, she spends her evenings bathed in a kaleidoscope of colours, imagining herself a winged avenger, the feline answer to Batman.

But when a string of break-ins threatens her beloved sanctuary, Terry takes it upon herself to uncover the culprit.

Is it the shadowy figure lurking near the vestry, or could it be something more sinister … an inside job?

One thing’s for sure: with the moonlight at her back and justice in her claws, Terry Dactyl is on the case.

Who did we sketch?:

Meet Claude Mouseley!

Character Bio:

Claude Mouseley is a whisker-fast runner for the Cheese Corporation.

A key player in the Cheddar Tribe’s underground operations on Quackers Lane.

With a nose for fine brie and an instinct for trouble, Claude ferries precious dairy cargo through the city’s back alleys, always one step ahead of rival factions, and the ever-watchful eyes of Scratchley and Boots.

But when a shipment goes missing and whispers of a double-cross start spreading, Claude finds himself tangled in a conspiracy thicker than a wheel of aged gouda.

If he doesn’t sniff out the traitor soon, the whole Cheddar Tribe could crumble – and worse, he might just end up on the wrong side of a lasagna-loving clean-up crew.

Who did we sketch?:

Remember Egret Pete?

Character Bio:

Egret Pete is a master of disguise, a fashionista with flair, and the undisputed king of mid-flight couture.

If only he could find a top hat that wouldn’t go soaring off when he does!

Whether tailing suspects alongside Bective the Beef Detective or making a dramatic entrance at high-profile cattle galas, Pete is always dressed for success.

His collection of capes, monocles, and feather-friendly bow ties is legendary, but his ultimate quest remains unfinished: the perfect airborne top hat.

When whispers of an elusive “Windproof Wonder” reach his finely tuned ears, Pete embarks on a daring mission that will take him from high society soirées to the shadiest back-alley haberdashers.

Will he finally crown himself the most dapper detective in the sky? Or will fashion once again fall victim to physics?

Who did we sketch?:

Meet Frogerick Lillypad!

Character Bio:

Frogerick Lillypad is the undisputed kingmaker of the pond, his webbed hands holding the power to make or break fortunes with a single, unconscious clap.

High society elites and aspiring stars alike jostle for a moment in his presence, hoping for that rhythmic, resounding approval that signals their ascent to fame.

From lavish garden parties to exclusive lily-pad lounges, Frogerick’s applause is the ultimate green ticket. Those who earn it find doors flung open, opportunities abound, and their names whispered in the finest of circles.

But when a rival toad accuses Frogerick of favouritism, and the elite start questioning the true weight of his clap, Frogerick must decide: does he embrace his legendary status or hop away from the spotlight altogether?

Who did we sketch?:

Meet George Peterson!

Character Bio:

George Peterson is a salmon with a stubborn streak as strong as the currents he swims against.

One wrong turn down an unfamiliar stream has left him lost, fuming, and absolutely unwilling to ask for directions.

George is convinced he’ll find his own way back eventually, but the further he drifts, the stranger the waters become.

When he stumbles upon a shady riverside syndicate promising him a shortcut home (for a price), George must decide whether to swallow his pride or risk swimming straight into deeper shoals.

Can Wingcliffe and Cheeseley find George before trouble does?

Who did we sketch?:

Meet Saffron and Spritz!

Character Bio:

Saffron and Spritz have been inseparable since they hatched, but lately, their feathers have been ruffled over one big issue – where to roost next.

Saffron dreams of wide-open fields, moonlit barns, and the quiet hush of the countryside, while Spritz has fallen head-over-talons for the energy of the city.

As they try to convince each other of their chosen paradise, they soon realise that compromise might be the only way to keep their friendship from flying apart.

Will they find a place where country calm meets city sparkle, or is this the end of their perfectly paired wings?

Who did we sketch?:

Meet Elliott Biscuits!

Character Bio:

Elliott Biscuits has always preferred the top shelf, nestled safely among the pots and pans, where the world is predictable, and the clatter of the kitchen is a soothing lullaby.

The neighbourhood windowsill cats, masters of the great in-between, have been trying to lure him down, promising the thrill of warm sunbeams, the scent of passing breezes, and the occasional chin scratch from a friendly passerby.

But Elliott isn’t so sure. Why trade the sturdy comfort of cast iron for the uncertainty of an open doorway?

As the windowsill cats scheme, Elliott finds himself wondering … what if they’re right?

What if life is better when you step down from the top shelf?
