Friends, we’re still February Sketching – and .. well we’ll soon stop, as we’ve run out of February.

Some characters are born into adventure, while others stumble into it … sometimes with a poorly drawn moustache or a beak stuffed with fish at the worst possible moment.

This week, we’re diving into a world of misfits, mystery, and mayhem, featuring a lineup of unforgettable characters who all find themselves in strange, unexpected situations.

From alternate reality Ted Lasso, to Birthday Cat – who arrives fashionably late demanding his own celebration, these stories prove that life rarely goes according to plan.

We’ve also got Red Triangle, a cardinal secret agent untangling a smuggling ring, Porthole Claws, the iceberg-watching feline, and the Safari Buds – a cheetah and a meerkat on a search for their long-lost duck sibling.

So buckle up for a whirlwind of whimsy and wild escapades. There’s never a dull moment with this crew.

Let’s create some magic together and make Daily Art in February!

Bone Shanderson

Meet Bone Shanderson!

Character Bio:

Bone Shanderson never asked for this.

One day, he was just a regular dog, chasing sticks and sniffing the bones of an old crow, and the next – bam! – he’s got a whole human arm attached to his side!

No one will tell him how it got there, and frankly, he’s not mad enough to go digging for answers.

Bone has learned to live with it, using it to hold his own leash, scratch behind his ears, and occasionally give an intimidating thumbs-up.

But when a shady scientist starts snooping around town, hinting that Bone might be part of something bigger, he’s forced to ask the question he’s been avoiding: where did the arm come from, and does it belong to someone who wants it back?

Puffin Magic

Meet Puffin Magic!

Character Bio:

Puffin Magic had always prided himself on his impeccable fish-stuffing technique … until now.

With over 20 slippery sardines crammed into his beak, gills and tails poking out at odd angles, he found himself in the worst possible situation.

Wendy Flatfoot, the puffin of his dreams, had just sidled up beside him, feathers gleaming in the sea spray. “Wanna go stare at a mollusk?” she asked, her voice as smooth as a calm tide.

Panic surged through Mr Magic. He couldn’t answer without losing his entire lunch, and spitting fish all over Wendy was not an option.

Desperate, he nodded enthusiastically, trying to play it cool.

Now all he had to do was figure out how to swallow twenty fish before they reached the mollusk.

The Red Triangle

Meet The Red Triangle!

Character Bio:

Code name: Red Triangle.

By day, he’s just another striking cardinal blending into the autumn leaves.

By night, he’s the agency’s sharpest set of eyes in the sky.

When a suspicious convoy is spotted sneaking through the backwoods, feathers are a-flap. Word on the street is, a smuggling ring has taken flight, and only Red Triangle has the speed, skill, and stealth to track them down.

But when the case takes an unexpected turn, and he finds himself tangled in a web of deception that reaches higher than the tallest treetops, Red Triangle must decide – does he follow orders, or his own instincts?

Porthole Claws

Meet Porthole Claws!

Character Bio:

Porthole Claws takes her job very seriously. Ever since she caught a late-night screening of Titanic through a ship’s lounge window, she’s been on high alert.

Now, she perches by every porthole she can find, scanning the waves with unblinking eyes, ready to sound the alarm at the first sign of an iceberg.

The crew finds her antics amusing until one fateful night when Porthole Claws lets out a yowl that chills them to the bone.

Is it just another false alarm, or has the ship’s resident doomsayer finally spotted something real?

Safari Buds

Meet the Safari Buds!

Character Bio:

The Safari Buds – Chason the cheetah and Momo the meerkat – are an unstoppable duo, bound by friendship and a shared, utterly bizarre mission.

They are convinced that the legendary Duck à L’Orange, a rare golden-feathered duck whispered about in campfire tales, is actually their long-lost sister.

Why? The clues are obvious (to them, at least).

A mysterious feather found near their childhood den, a dream Chason once had about a duck calling him “bro,” and Momo’s unwavering gut feeling.

Across savannahs, rivers, and bustling safari lodges, they chase rumours and half-truths, determined to solve the greatest family mystery never told.

Birthday Cat

Who did we sketch?:

Meet Birthday Cat!

Character Bio:

Birthday Cat does not care that your birthday has come and gone. He has arrived, in his box, three days late, and he expects a proper celebration.

With a twitch of his whiskers and an impatient flick of his tail, he demands the finest treats, the cosiest lap, and at least one ribbon to chase.

But Birthday Cat is no ordinary meowser. His work here is temporary.

Once his demands are met, it’s time for you to pass him along to the next unsuspecting birthday person.

The only problem? You have to find one fast, or Birthday Cat just might decide every day is his special day.

Ted Lasso

Who did we sketch?:

Meet Ted Lasso!

Character Bio:

Ted Lasso always believed in believing, but he never thought he’d have to believe his way out of this.

One moment, he’s tying his sneakers, and the next, he’s in an alternate dimension where everything – including himself -is a wobbly, poorly drawn sketch.

His moustache is lopsided, his eyes don’t always stay in the same place, and his limbs bend at angles that defy both logic and anatomy.

But hey, if coaching has taught him anything, it’s that you play the hand you’re dealt.

Can Ted rally the other doodled denizens, sharpen his strategy (and his outlines), and sketch himself a way home?

Or is he destined to be a rough draft forever?
