Sketch a Day – Marching into Madness

“But I don’t want to go among mad people,” Alice remarked.
“Oh, you can’t help that,” said the Cat: “we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

Maintaining a daily art habit can sometimes feel like you’re slowly marching into madness.

It can be hard making time in a busy schedule to do some thing creative. Although, sometimes all you need is 10 minutes, a splash of paint and an imaginary giraffe on a bicycle.

Is there something you’ve been wanting to create? Why not set yourself a challenge to pick up a pen or a box of coloured pencils this month and see what your mind palace can unleash.

You can do it!

In this post, I’ll show you what I sketched each day in March. We’ll meet some musical friends, magical frogs and a whole lot of famous faces that would probably sue for damages if I was their plastic surgeon.

Oh, but we had fun, friends. We had fun.

A friend in need's a friend indeed - a friend with seeds is better.
You only need three things to make it in this life - two good buckets and a fast goose.
She carried her magic atop her head, in the form of a fascinating toad.
Henry knew if he sat still long enough, he'd turn into stone and not have to clean his room.
Go on then, you can pass.
On a shelf, in a room - a tiny hand begins to move. A blink, a creak, a hollow whisper. Who to tell, if not her sister?
On each dive, Wendy hoped to find a treasure chest filled with hot chips. Gull dreams.
Zoe didn't mind being a zombie in theory, but the taste of brains gets a little same-same after a while.
A bean in the hand is worth two in the sand.
Bert knows he has a resting sneer face, but he's joyous inside - listening to some fully sick Kenny Rogers. Island in the stream, that is what he is ... ah ha.
Potatoes - mash 'em if you've got 'em.
Ned? Ned Ryerson?
A little Meloni, all skinny and boney.
Raxacoricofallapatorius.
Maybe I'll just leave the precious in a Westfield.
By the power of waffles, I command thee!
I can get you any kind of sweet you like, golden tickets are for the birds.
Turns out I was the treasure all along.
Fly! Fly, my pretties!
